In 1988, she came to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Iowa. After earning her doctoral degree, she spent over a decade working in the financial industry before founding her own company. Though raised without a religious background, her journey to faith began about ten years after arriving in the United States. In 2000, her family was baptized into Christianity, a transformative moment for them all. Years later, she felt a profound calling to document the stories of early missionaries who dedicated their lives to serving the Chinese people.
